Storyboard Design
Pencilmation
I was hired by Ross Bollinger, creator of Pencilmation, in 2016 to storyboard episodes for his growing YouTube channel.
Each episode is about the struggle between the creator and his creation. I have currently storyboarded 100+ episodes
In 2019 Pencilmation was the 3rd most watched Youtube channel with 2.8 billion views and 18 million subscribers.
You can find my IMDB page here with a list of episodes I was responsible for.

Storyboard Examples
Forgive & Forecast
In this Episode Pencilmate is a Weatherman that just can’t seem to get his prediction correct.
This was a more complex episode. The script called for a lot of dramatic and unique camera angles as well as a very complex set design.
Run of the Treadmill
In this Episode, Pencilmate is trying to get in shape at the Gym using the treadmill.
This was one of the first episodes in the Pencilmation “retro” series I worked on. The idea was to take the episodes back to the basics and focus more on side scrolling action and gags rather than a heavy plot to carry the episode.
Character Designs
I was asked to do Character Turnarounds for the main character of Pencilmation. These are used to help standardize the look of the show and help character continuity.
Font Design
To give our episodes a more unique and unified look, Ross asked me to design a Typeface that we could use on each Pencilmation episode’s Title Card. This font was designed to replicate my hand-drawn lettering style.
Title Card Designs
Here is a collection of Title Cards that I have illustrated and designed for various episodes.
