Email Design - FIGMA
At RAPP, I leverage Figma to design dynamic and engaging email modules for the U.S. Army. My role involves not only crafting visually compelling layouts but also ensuring that every design aligns with the Army’s strict brand guidelines—from typography and color usage to messaging and imagery.
Beyond design, I play a key role in building and maintaining a comprehensive Figma asset library, which streamlines the production process and ensures consistency across all email campaigns. I also develop new email modules, optimizing them for flexibility and scalability, allowing for seamless content updates while maintaining a polished, on-brand appearance.
Once the designs are finalized, I collaborate closely with developers to translate Figma designs into fully functional HTML emails. This process requires careful attention to responsive design principles, ensuring that each email renders correctly across different devices and email clients. Additionally, I incorporate motion graphics into email designs where applicable, adding an extra layer of engagement to help inspire the next generation of Army recruits.
EMM CONNECT APP DESIGN - FIGMA
I led the redesign of the EMM Connect App, a critical tool used by Army recruiters in the field to collect and manage lead information. The existing app was outdated, featuring old Army branding and an unintuitive user experience. My goal was to bring it up to modern UI/UX standards while ensuring full alignment with the latest Army brand guidelines.
Using Figma, I retooled the app’s interface, streamlining its functionality to enhance usability for recruiters in fast-paced environments. The redesign incorporated the new Army logo, typography, and color palette, ensuring a cohesive and professional look. I also implemented UX best practices, such as improved navigation, clearer information hierarchy, and optimized input flows to make data collection faster and more efficient.
The redesigned EMM Connect App modernized the recruitment experience, making it more intuitive and visually aligned with the Army’s evolving brand identity. By improving usability and accessibility, the app now allows recruiters to collect and manage leads more effectively, enhancing their outreach efforts in the field.
Production design
As the Production Lead at RAPP, a data marketing agency, I lead the creation of the Army’s tailored digital, print, and video content to support local marketing initiatives across the country.
I manage the Army’s DAM where all campaign assets are stored and assist Recruiters and Local Field Marketers in fulfilling local marketing requests.
From 2022-2023, I assisted in the development of 400 local ad buys in traditional mediums like billboards, web banners, stadium takeovers, and print ads. These requests range from resizing assets for a vendor to creating fully custom assets that leverage the campaign national assets for local markets.
CUSTOM VIDEO REQUESTS
I edit and retag Army local spots for local markets. Each video spot is customized with a unique end frame so each spot speaks directly to its intended audience.
This is an example of 4 different army campaigns using end frames I customized in Adobe Premiere.
I exported 539 video requests from 2022-23 for various Army campaigns.
